Accuracy of intraoral photogrammetry in complete arch digital implant scanning: An in vivo prospective comparative study.
This in vitro study assessed the accuracy ("trueness") of a new intraoral photogrammetry (IPG) scanner (Aoralscan Elite), which combines photogrammetry and optical scanning in one device, for capturing complete-arch implant impressions. Using 30 real patient dental casts with 4–6 implants, the study found that IPG showed small deviations in position and angle compared to a high-accuracy desktop scanner, all well below clinical thresholds for passive fit.
