Recently, non-compliant suppliers have promoted Shining 3D devices in Australia and New Zealand. It’s important for practices and labs to understand the risks.
Under Australian law, Class IIa medical devices must be listed on the ARTG (Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods) before they can be lawfully supplied. In addition, suppliers must be registered as an EESS Responsible Supplier for electrical safety and complete ACMA conformity steps for EMI declaration.
